Of all the characters that I have cherished throughout the Hogward’s beautiful journey, yours stood aloof. Every frame was set in to show your dark side and the bright doe patronus love that you’ve carried all your life remained hidden until the very end.

The very first frame of yours was not conclusive about you. You remained a puzzle to me and i was unable to sort you, as you were constantly oscillating between good and bad. The only question that I was mulling with was that you were ubiquitous in every obstacle of Harry, saving him from every lurking danger yet you rebuked and reviled him from the beginning. You looked like a guardian angel yet a one disguised as an antagonist to harry until he came to know the truth from your tear drops.

You lost your best friend and love Lilly, when you were sorted to Slytherin and there began the tale of your affliction. You went through torments, you were outcasted by your own lady-love’s lover James potter.Yet you didn’t hate her for leaving you, instead you made it a point to love her till the very end by protecting her child, allured me.

That was the point I understood that the hard shell which you showed to Harry was to protect the love hidden behind it. The hard one was nurturing the love, protecting the love inside it, anonymously, so that no one injures or kills it.

You didn’t give up yourself as a victim to the situation,when people disdained you,when you were left alone in Slytherin. Yet you holded on, and through fierce determination you aced potions and became a skilful one. It did insinuated a lot of deep thoughts as to how to over come the situation in which we are put in.

You were brave enough to surrender your own life making the unbreakable vow, making yourself as the stressful double agent just for the sake of protecting the boy who had the eyes of your love.

You were always mentioned as either dark or cold but that was because of the obligation that you took up to protect Harry. As Dumbledore said, “Its our choices, that shows who we truly are far more than our abilities.” It is exactly the choice that you made to be with the death eaters, to allow yourself to be called as a deceiver,to give your own life to protect the son of your love made you to be known as the bravest man to be ever known in the Wizarding world.
