Is that a most advanced technique to guard your information ?

Similar techniques have been under use since 1900 BC.

I will let a 10-year-old girl explain this for you using a chalkboard slate!!

The girl in the right, from the Tamil movie "JAYAM", who is the younger sister of heroine. She teaches encryption in the simplest way.

This word “ரட்லவி” has no meaning in Tamil context. This text is referred as cipher text or encrypted text or your guarded text. Her sister couldn't understand them.

Now she shows with the letters “ட்ல” hid, which shows up the name of the hero “ரவி”

The word “ட்ல” remained as a primary key and aided encryption. The key is a parameter that determines the output after an encryption. This key varies for each type of encryption. She has been using this technique in different parts of movie.

For instance, in the image below, she uses this technique to pass a secret message to the Ravi (hero) by writing an encrypted text through a passenger train.

Though he couldn't get that initially, finally he manages to find the key and decrypt the message.

Encryption is where the original messages are converted into secret codes and decryption is extraction of original message. Similar kind of encryption techniques are used by kingdoms in war fields to send secret messages within troops.

WhatsApp uses similar kind of encryption but with more complex encrypting algorithms is used in order to ensure privacy.
